Την παράταση έως 31-12-2020 των μειωμένων κατά 30% συντελεστών ΦΠΑ για τα νησιά Λέρο, Λέσβο, Κω, Σάμο και Χίο ανακοίνωσε ο υφυπουργός παρά τω πρωθυπουργώ, Στέλιος Πέτσας, στο πλαίσιο των αντισταθμιστικών μέτρων που αφορούν τα νησιά πρώτης υποδοχής και περιφέρειες που υποδέχονται αιτούντες άσυλο.

Συγκεκριμένα, ο κ. Πέτσας ανακοίνωσε την παράταση του μειωμένου συντελεστή ΦΠΑ για τα πέντε νησιά του Ανατολικού Αιγαίου, που φιλοξενούν πρόσφυγες και την παραχώρηση κονδυλίου 50 εκατ. ευρώ, το οποίο θα προέρχεται από το υπερπλεόνασμα που καταγράφεται για το 2019.

Σύμφωνα με τον κ. Πέτσα, η κυβέρνηση στοχεύει στη βελτίωση των δομών Υγείας, Παιδείας, Κοινής Ωφέλειας και Τουρισμού και δεσμεύτηκε πως θα αξιοποιηθούν στο μέγιστο, προς όφελος των τοπικών κοινωνιών τα κέντρα υποδοχής μετά την αντιμετώπιση του ζητήματος.
